What constitutes an emergency?

A situation that places a student or students at risk.

It may include illness or harm, or other traumatic incidents involving violence, a student who is missing, and civil unrest or a natural disaster in the host country. Emergencies are not necessarily medical. They do, however, represent circumstances out of the ordinary, unplanned, or unexpected, that threaten the health, safety, and well-being of one or all of the students.

Call the 24-hour emergency number above, if you need assistance with an emergency for an EAP student currently abroad.
The attendant will collect information from you and immediately contact appropriate EAP staff. In health and safety emergencies, an EAP staff member will call you back immediately.
