UCEAP Announces New Study Abroad Programs for 2013-14

Santa Barbara, CA (September, 2012)—The University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) has announced the launch of new quarter, summer, and year-long programming. New program offerings include several exciting multi-city options as well as programs that place a timely focus on important topics in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe:

Spain and Italy: European Transformations, UC Centers Madrid & Rome (quarter and semester options available). A unique opportunity to compare and contrast two exciting European capitals by living and studying in both Rome and Madrid. Semester option includes an academic internship.

England and France: Perspectives on the Global City, UC Centers London & Paris. Students experience life in two vibrant cities and countries in this quarter program spent half in London and half in Paris.

Hong Kong: Global Business in Asia, Univ. of Hong Kong. Students gain understanding and first-hand experience of Asia’s economic development and business environment through summer study in two of its most important international commercial centers: Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Israel: Ben-Gurion Univ. of the Negev. The #1 university choice for Israeli undergraduate students, Ben-Gurion University is a leader in sustainable development, environmental studies, global health, and Israel studies.

Morocco: Arabic Language and Culture, Rabat. Studies include Arabic language at the Qalam Center along with classes at Mohammed V University. Homestays are an integral part of the program, providing a genuine, behind-the-scenes understanding of Moroccan life.

Czech Republic: Central European Studies, Prague. Set against the backdrop of historic Prague, specially designed courses on Central European Studies and courses taught in English explore the dynamics of the country, its culture, and its place in the region.

Ireland: Quinn School of Business Internship, Univ. College Dublin. A challenging internship opportunity in one of Europe’s most charismatic cities. Students enhance their professional skills while learning to work in cross-cultural settings.
