Coursework in all majors at either of two top Chilean universities in cosmopolitan Santiago. EAP Study Center organizes language program to begin, multiple excursions throughout the year, and internships with NGOs, government, human rights, and indigenous organizations.
Following a week of intensive Spanish language instruction, spend equal time in the exciting capitals of Buenos Aires and Santiago. Courses explore human rights and cultural memory, examining how people in Argentina and Chile have reconstructed their societies very differently as their understandings of the past have shaped contemporary social and political life in the present.
Planning for sustainable development and ecological conservation are approached from several perspectives including those of indigenous people, the lumber industry, regular townsfolk, and tourism promoters. In addition to the forested, lakeside campus, students travel to several national parks to work on their projects.
