Housing
Housing is not guaranteed. Students leaving their housing before the end of the agreement may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Campus Housing (UC-Housing)

Application Deadline: June 1, 2013
Application Notes: Use your application ID number (obtained from your home university international office) and your student ID number (located in your UCI acceptance letter) to login.
 
Application Fee: Non-refundable processing fee required with application.
 
Method of Payment Option: Online with a credit card, or by printing a payment coupon and mailing it with a check, or money order in US dollars, payable to "UC Regents." Contact SAC immediately if you have problems obtaining a bank draft or an international money order.
 
Notification of Housing Assignments: Successful applicants will receive a housing contract by e-mail and standard air mail. The housing contract must be returned with the reservation fee by the deadline stamped on the contract. Check your e-mail every day if you are traveling over the holidays.

NOTE:
Undergraduate students should disregard the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) return deadline date on the housing application. The SIR is automatically returned for all UCEAP students.

Students should be aware that this housing is not UC sponsored or endorsed and that it is not advisable to rent prior to arrival when you can visit the rental in person.

When should I arrive?: No later than September 22, 2013
 
You may arrive no more than 30 days prior to the date printed on your visa certificate of eligibility (DS-2019). Students who do not have pre-arranged housing are advised to arrive early.

Location: 178 Humanities Hall (#601[E7] on campus map)
Description: Ask questions you have about course enrollment, health insurance, obtaining a UCI student identification card, and more.
There will be a campus tour included, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Prerequisite Clearance Request Form

Enrollment Dates: Windows will open after May 20, 2013. Check your enrollment window on WebReg beginning May 13, 2013.

You will receive your UCI student ID number from the UCI campus by e-mail. Your UC application ID number can be obtained from your home university international office.

Graduate students
Graduate students usually register after consultation with the department’s graduate advisor. Check with your host department for registration advising.
Financial Information

​​Student Billing System ZOT : View your student account. Financial information is available online. You are responsible for checking your student account regularly and paying any fees that apply.

eTech Fee: $4 per unit up to 15 unit (maximum of $60 per term). Fee will be billed to your student account in the third week of the term.

Health Insurance Fees: Fees will be billed to your account each quarter.  See Health Insurance & Services information below.  

Academic Resources
English Language Placement Exam: May be required for some classes. Refer to the testing office website to determine if you are required to take this exam.
Health Insurance & Services

2013-14 costs and information are listed below.

Requirement: Students are automatically enrolled in the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan unless they complete a waiver form and provide proof of equivalent coverage, and it is approved.

Cost: $453 per quarter (undergraduates); $864 per quarter (graduates)
Billing: Each quarter

Spring quarter: March 17, 2014

Payment may be made at the Central Cashier's Office upon arrival at UCI.
