The Six-College System

All UCEAP Reciprocity students are randomly assigned to one of UCSD’s six colleges.  Since UCSD was founded, six colleges have been established: Revelle College, John Muir College, Thurgood Marshall College, Earl Warren College, Eleanor Roosevelt College, or Sixth College.
Each college is headed by a provost and has its own deans of academic advising, student affairs, and residential life, who provide a support system for students.  While you won’t be following UCSD college general education requirements, your college academic advisors are available for assistance and can help you in navigating through the university policies and procedures; including deadlines, academic rules, and university regulations.
You will also have the opportunity to work with departmental advisors concerning course enrollment, pre-requisites, and discuss possible transferability of courses to your home university.
Housing is not guaranteed. Be aware that the standard rental agreement for some housing accommodations is nine months (or until the end of the academic year for students arriving in January). Students leaving their housing before the end of the agreement may be subject to a cancellation fee.
