Housing is not guaranteed. Be aware that the standard housing contract is for the academic year (or until the end of the academic year for students arriving in January). Students leaving their housing before the end of the agreement may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Do not sign a contract with more than one housing provider.

When should I arrive?:
 No later than September 25, 2018 and no earlier than August 25, 201
 
You may arrive no more than 30 days prior to the start date printed on your visa certificate of eligibility (DS-2019). Students who do not have pre-arranged housing should arrive as early as possible.

Move-In Dates

Campus Housing Move-In Dates: Dates vary with housing assignment.

Ground Transport to Campus

To get to Westwood from the LAX airport, take a taxi (approximately $45-50) or a "shuttle van." Look for the blue "Van Stop" sign outside the baggage claim area and tell the airport employee that you need a shuttle to UCLA or Westwood.

Students must have their UCLA Logon ID and password to enroll. 

Undergraduate Students
This information is for all majors except the specific majors listed below.
 
If the MyUCLA enrollment system indicates that a code/permission to enroll is required:
 
a) Locate the course in the Schedule of Classes
b) Consult the course description in the General Catalog to determine that you meet all course prerequisites
c) E-mail the academic counselor or instructor to request permission to enroll (consult the listing of department webpages for the undergraduate department advisor contact information).
d) Include information regarding your academic preparation for any course prerequisites using the prerequisite clearance request form.

Graduate Students
Graduate students usually register after consultation with the department’s graduate advisor. Check with your host department for registration advising.
Financial Information

MyUCLA: View your BruinBill account. Financial information is available online. You are responsible for checking your BruinBill account regularly and paying any fees that apply.

Paying Fees

International Student Orientation Fee: $59 (subject to change) will be billed to your UCLA account.

Registrar's Document Fee: $50 one-time fee that provides lifetime access to official transcripts and academic verifications. In addition students are no longer charged for incomplete grade removals.  

Health Insurance Fees: Fees will be billed to your account each quarter. See Health Insurance & Services information below.

Requirement: Students are automatically enrolled in the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan, unless they complete a waiver form that provides proof of equivalent coverage, and it is approved.
 
Cost: $725.69 per quarter (undergraduates); $1,272.09 per quarter (graduates)
