Course Description

This course is designed for UC students who participate in the Tsuru program. Its purposes are to accustom students to a new lifestyle through daily practice in conversation, review basic grammar, improve listening comprehension, and master kanji and vocabulary necessary for regular Tsuru University courses. It emphasizes grammar, especially joshi and na-adjectives; sentence structure; conversation, practicing daily natural expression; and listening comprehension. Conversation practice and listening comprehension exercises include checking pronunciation and practice in listening to natural speed conversation. Text is TOTAL JAPANESE. *This is a 7-week intensive language component of an 18- to 20-week program
