Course Description

This intermediate course in Portuguese language develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Grammar structures are taught inductively and practiced through interactive exercises. Grammar points include verbs (indicative, optional subjunctive, and the inflection of the infinitive), pronouns (reflexive and reciprocal) and nouns, adjectives, and adverbs. Assessment is based on class work, compositions, tests, a mid-term examination, and a final examination.
