Course Description

 

This course deals with German language and culture. The course has three focal points: reading and writing; speaking and listening comprehension; and grammar. In the first component, the analysis of texts allows students to understand thesis, structure, and argumentation as well as formulating their own responses. In the second component, students practice speaking as well as listening with vocabulary appropriate to their language level. The third component uses practical exercises to show and teach the complexities of German grammar, as well as the ability of the German language to appropriate new words.
