General Academic Programs

Special Curriculum Programs
The following
programs have predetermined curricula designed for UC students.
UC-Fudan University Joint Program in International Studies
Three courses are required for all students:
- One core course, Debating Globalization (6.0 quarter units),
letter grade required
- Two additional special JPIS courses (6.0 quarter units each)
- Economics of Development
- Chinese-American Relations and the Rise of Asia
Fudan University Economics and Business Program
Five courses are required for all students:
- One core course, Chinese Economic Reform and Development (6.0
quarter units), letter grade required
- Four electives chosen from the special program courses (4.5 quarter
units each)
- The Dynamics of the Chinese Economy
- Entering the Chinese Market: Problems and Prospects
- Financial Development in China
- Perspectives on Traditional and Contemporary Chinese Culture
and Society
- Consumer Behavior
- Chinese Language
Intensive Elementary Language Program, Beijing Normal University—Summer
- Only for students with no prior exposure to Chinese
- Beginning level Chinese, one level only
- 15 UC quarter units expected
