Note for Japanese CitizensUC students who have Japanese citizenship (or dual Japanese and another citizenship) are required to apply for EAP Japan programs and enter Japan as Japanese citizens. Students who are Japanese citizens and who attend Japanese national universities under EAP may be required to pay certain Japanese university fees and tuition in addition to regular UC fees. Some host universities will not allow students with Japanese citizenship to live in the dormitories for foreign citizens. Students who think they may be affected by this situation should seek advice and specific information from their Campus EAP Office.
