Highlights

The Marine Biology and Terrestrial Ecology Program is offered through the University of Queensland’s Centre for Marine Studies (CMS). CMS coordinates research and teaching focusing on the ocean, coast, estuaries, and reefs of Queensland, and brings together the activities conducted through various research stations. EAP’s program consists of lectures, laboratory studies, and extensive field study at the Heron Island Research Station on the Great Barrier Reef, the Moreton Bay Research Station, and other locations in coastal Queensland. Fall Semester: late August to late November (calendar)

Extension of participation to other EAP options in Australia is not possible.

EAP students attend classes with UC students only.

Units

Students are required to take a full-time course of study while abroad. Students enroll in two intensive courses to meet the required 21 UC quarter units.

Housing

Students will be assigned to home-stays with Australian families. During field activities students live in field stations. (details)
