The beauty of the Chilean landscape combines with the attractions of urban Latin America to make this country a perfect destination for study abroad. Chile’s rapid economic growth has generated interest in trade policy studies and environmental issues. Its political history is fascinating and instructive, and its poets are legendary.

EAP offers programs in two locations in Chile: Santiago and Concepcion. Large and cosmopolitan, Santiago reflects its European heritage with excellent public transportation, a wealth of cultural activities, and ubiquitous cafes. Some 350 miles to the south, Concepcion offers a less congested urban environment and access to a variety of national parks. Proximity to the region’s Mapuche population also draws students with an interest in contemporary movements for indigenous rights.
