France: Immersion Program, University of Lyon
Host InstitutionUniversity of Lyon (University web sites) HighlightsEAP students study for the academic year in this full immersion program and take regular university courses alongside local students. All instruction is in French. (details) DurationFall Semester: late August to late December (calendar) Academic year: late August to mid-June (calendar) Qualified fall students can extend their participation to the year program in Lyon. Academic FocusFall: Regular university courses. Course work is only appropriate for social science majors and others interested in receiving social science credit. Year: Regular university courses. Students attend classes with international students, host country students, and UC students. Language of InstructionFrench Language StudyProgram begins with a three-week French intensive language program (ILP). All students are required to take a French academic writing course during the year. UnitsStudents are required to take a full-time course of study while abroad.
