Highlights

Sciences Po is an elite and highly selective school that offers traditional training in political science and international relations. Advanced undergraduate and graduate students enroll in the Programme International, which offers courses in French society, politics, history, economics, and international relations with a special emphasis on the new Europe. The program offers a multidisciplinary approach and rigorous methodological training in social science research. Non-credit summer internships for two to four months may be available following the academic year. (details)

Students attend classes with host country students, international students, and UC students.

Language of Instruction

French track: French
English track: English

Language Study

Program begins with a four-week French intensive language program (ILP). During the year French language is required unless a student is fluent, in which case another language may be studied.

Units

Students are required to take a full-time course of study while abroad.

ILP: 3 to 8 UC quarter units (taken on a P/NP basis) are required

Term: 18 UC quarter units are required

Graduate students: Units are determined in consultation with the student’s graduate department advisor

Housing

Students share private homes, dorms, apartments, or studios with international students, host country students, or UC students. (details)
