Germany: Programs in GöttingenEAP students enroll in regular university courses in a wide range of fields. Most students take at least four courses each semester and must complete a minimum of 18 UC quarter units each semester. Instruction is in German. Course offerings and exact course descriptions for the year are usually not available until after arrival, and students should not expect specific courses to be offered each year. Nevertheless, other new courses may be available, and students are encouraged to visit classes, talk with students and professors, and choose their courses carefully. Courses previously taken by UC students can be accessed via the EAP Course Finder. Georg-August University offers a broad range of courses in the social sciences, humanities, and sciences. Old Vorlesungsverzeichnisse (catalogs) and Kommentare (course descriptions) are particularly valuable in planning an academic program. Students can view Vorlesungsverzeichnisse at the Georg-August University website. Additional Georg-August course information can also be found on the university’s website. Detailed information from the Student's GuideAcademic information in the Student's Guide typically includes program-specific details about the host institution, program structure, and courses; academic culture and conduct; units, exams, and grades; orientation; and information about the intensive language program (if applicable).
