Academic Focus

Concentration in business and economics, engineering, or science, taught in English. Students take the majority of their courses in one of the three fields. Very limited Chinese language instruction is available; it is not a focus of the programs at HKUST.

Language of Instruction

English. Some courses in the Divisions of Humanities and Social Science are taught in Putonghua or Cantonese.

Units

EAP students are required to take a full-time course of study while abroad. 21 UC quarter units per semester are required, which is usually four or five courses, depending on the number of units per course.

Housing

EAP students reside on campus in student dormitories or apartments and share rooms with local students.Students also have the option of living off campus. (details)
