It is situated on a modern, spacious campus about 20 minutes from the city center and is easily accessible by excellent public transportation. Academic FocusRegular university courses in a wide range of fields. Of particular interest are the natural sciences (especially tropical and marine biology), business and economics, social sciences, engineering, Southeast Asian languages, and comprehensive offerings in Southeast Asian studies. Innovative options include communications management, interdisciplinary programs combining business with law or with science and engineering, and the University Scholars Programme, which offers interdisciplinary courses with special challenges and learning experiences that take students beyond the classroom.
