Study in Sweden

With a written history dating from the runes of the Vikings, Sweden today is one of the most peaceful and progressive nations in the world. Sweden is known for its strong social welfare traditions as the home of the Nobel Prizes and identifies itself with many international organizations that foster anti-militarism, conciliation and development. It also maintains its commitment to the European Union and excellence in technological advancement. In this modern environment, students have the opportunity to study in English or Swedish.

Lund is located in southern Sweden, just across the Øresund Strait from the Danish city of Copenhagen, in an area of rolling hills and green fields. Founded in 990, Lund was the ecclesiastical center of all of Scandinavia during the Middle Ages. Its cathedral, the largest Romanesque structure in northern Europe, dates from 1145.

The surrounding area is known as the Swedish “Medicon Valley” for its cutting-edge biotech and communications industries, fostered by considerable state investment in the medical and engineering facilities at the university.

Lund University

  1. medicine and pharmaceuticals

  3. the life sciences

The university is renowned as an international center of scholarship in the social sciences and humanities, biological and physical sciences, and engineering and industrial management and logistics.
