Highlights

This fall semester program in London is designed by UC and taught by faculty from universities in the London area. This option is one of two EAP opportunities for sophomores to study in the UK, and also offers valuable educational opportunities for juniors and seniors. The program offers courses that have a London focus. The classroom facilities are located in the heart of London’s Bloomsbury area, near the British Museum. Students can participate in the clubs and activities offered by the neighboring University of London Student Union. (details)

Duration

Fall Semester: late August to mid-December (calendar)

Academic Focus

British history, society, and culture from a variety of humanistic and social scientific perspectives. The curriculum pays particular attention to London as a crossroads of large social and cultural dynamics, and it draws on the special resources of greater London to examine these dynamics.

Students attend classes with UC students only.

Units

Students are required to take a full-time course of study while abroad. The program consists of four courses for a total of 20 UC quarter units.

Housing

Students are required to live in housing that is pre-arranged by the program provider. Students live with other study abroad program students and British students in newly-built student housing in central London. (details)
