Highlights

This eight-week summer program provides UC students with the opportunity to study at one of the United Kingdom’s oldest universities. A special feature of the program is the opportunity to participate in excursions and cultural programs led by Cambridge University teachers’ assistants. Duration

Summer: early July to late August (calendar)

Academic Focus

The program is divided into two, four-week sections called modules. Students attend for the full eight weeks and select from a wide range of upper-division course offerings within the humanities, social sciences, and fine arts. Students additionally have the opportunity to experience the Cambridge supervision system, whereby students meet directly with a faculty member individually or in small groups once a week to complete a series of research-based papers in their major subject area. This option would replace one course.

For course descriptions and additional information, see Course Information.

Students attend classes with UC and other US students.

Units

Students are required to take a full-time course of study while abroad. Students enroll in three courses for a total of 15 UC quarter units.

Housing

Students are required to live in dormitory housing that is pre-arranged by the host university. Students live with UC and other US students. (details)
