SafetyEAP is committed to providing a reasonably safe and stable environment. Safety and security have always been our top priorities during the many years of providing study abroad programs. EAP has substantial experience with risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and crisis management. On-site EAP staff monitor local and international conditions and provide support, counseling, and safety information. EAP staff and faculty are trained and knowledgeable about EAP safety protocols and are experienced in taking action quickly and safely. EAP Study Centers are supported by a wide, diverse network that includes the University of California, the Universitywide Office of EAP, Campus EAP Offices, EAP partner universities throughout the world, local US embassies and consulates, the US Department of State, and other international student exchange programs at each site. In addition, every Study Center has a carefully prepared security plan. The Universitywide Office of EAP remains in continuous contact with students abroad and professionals supporting its Study Centers around the world.
