Study Abroad in Mexico
Mexico’s cultural richness rivals that of the oldest worlds. Here, ancient indigenous communities merge with more recent European influences to create a nation whose vibrant culture is strongly represented in its politics, intellectual life, unique art, dance, cuisine, and music. From the snow-capped volcanoes that overlook the capital to the Mayan Riviera, this land of contrasts is a fascinating destination for students of all backgrounds.
Mexico is the largest Spanish speaking country in the world and Mexico City, Latin America’s cultural capital.
Mexico City is epic; this dynamic metropolis is the beating heart of Mexican culture, society, and politics. The longer you stay, the more you discover, from pyramids to Victorian splendor to the most modern digital arts. Mexico City is the center for UC and EAP in Mexico, anchored by the program at the prestigious National Autonomous University (UNAM).
Through EAP’s research program, you can also study in Morelia, Oaxaca, Guadalajara, Querétaro, Mérida, Chiapas or Xalapa.
Whether sharing classrooms with Mexican students, exploring issues of language and identity with others from UC in the colonial city of Morelia, or performing individual research in areas of academic and personal interest, EAP in Mexico offers something for everyone.
