Study Abroad in Hungary
Central European Studies, UC Center Budapest
Overview
Studying in Hungary provides students with the opportunity to experience a more exotic side of Europe. EAP in Budapest offers a broad perspective on the dynamics of cultural, political, and social change in Central Europe. Specially designed courses are taught in English by leading intellectuals and scholars of the region. Field trips to places such as Transylvania, Prague, Auschwitz, and Krakow as well as a variety of cultural activities further enhance the academic experience.
Students attend classes with other UC students and take some classes with Hungarian students. A mentor program with Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) students offers activities and connections with local students as well as assistance with practical issues after arrival and throughout the semester. Your program begins with a welcome dinner, a tour of Budapest, introductory language study, and an orientation to the city and the academic program.
