Overview
Experience a wonderful time of year in Scandinavia! The language and culture curriculum includes field trips, guest lectures, and social activities to introduce you to Swedish culture and society, and to Sweden's role in Scandinavia and Europe. You can study for the summer only, and the program is also available to you if you are participating in the fall semester or year program at Lund University.
Students attend classes with other UC and international students.
Course Opportunities
Courses focus on language acquisition and cultural immersion. The program offers course work at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Swedish is used in the classroom from the start in order to develop your competence in all aspects of the language, including reading, writing, grammar, and conversation.
Use the following resources to learn about courses on EAP:
- EAP Program Search provides information on general areas of study.
- MyEAP Course Catalog lists courses previously taken by UC students. Additional courses may be available and not all courses may still be offered. Since courses in new programs have not yet been taken for credit, they may not appear in the MyEAP Course Catalog.
Units
You will take a full-time course of study on EAP. Students enroll in two Swedish courses, valued at 5 UC quarter units each, for a total of 10 UC quarter units during the summer term.
