Anthropology

Summary

EAP is an exciting and valuable opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture while exploring new topics and approaches in anthropology. For research projects and theses, EAP opens up new possibilities for ethnographic or archaeological fieldwork. Such firsthand experience is an important part of anthropological training and will expand your knowledge of other peoples and societies far beyond what any textbook can offer. It can also provide an outside perspective on your own cultural beliefs and values. All of this will help deepen your understanding of what it means to be human in the 21st century and prepare you for life in a globalizing world.

Information for Your Major

Check your campus link below to see if your department has provided specific information about study abroad:

Experiencing other cultures is the anthropologist's stock in trade. EAP is not only a great way for an aspiring anthropologist to begin to understand how other cultures work, it is an experience of immense value for any student. Once you have lived and learned abroad, your view of the world can never be the same. At the same time, your view of yourself and your own potential begins to feel unlimited.
