 Study Abroad in Costa Rica

Monteverde is one of the richest wildlife sanctuaries in the tropics, attracting biologists from all over the world. Imagine waking up to the calls of howler monkeys and mist rolling in before you trek into the rainforest each day for class or fieldwork.

This tropical biology program transforms students into experienced biologists with formidable research portfolios. Though the program is based high in the protected cloud forest, you will travel through a variety of educational sites—including field stations, labs, coastal areas and national forests—and experience a brief homestay with a local family. One-on-one support from your instructors will help build your skills as a researcher and guide your research project to completion.
