 Study Abroad in Switzerland

Switzerland evokes thoughts of crystal clear lakes, chocolate, fondue and a sense of time that is universally respected. Perhaps most importantly, while studying in Geneva you can experience life in one of the world’s major centers for international governance. Known as the “capital of peace,” Geneva’s humanitarian traditions are carried through its 300+ NGOs, ongoing diplomatic missions, and headquarters to the European UN and Red Cross.

Switzerland’s central location bordering Germany, France and Italy offers the ideal vantage point for exploring Europe as a whole. The nation itself is quadrilingual, and this multicultural environment is reflected in the University of Geneva’s student body and its academic strength in international relations. The interdisciplinary global studies program offers courses taught in English and study visits to the many Geneva-based organizations. An optional full-time internship in the summer following the spring semester is also available.
