Housing Information
Housing is not guaranteed. Be aware that
the standard rental agreement for some housing accommodations is nine
months. Students attending UC for fewer than nine months may be subject
to a cancellation fee.
California Housing Board (Non–UC
Housing)
The California Housing Board provides a forum for all Education Abroad
Program participants to share information about housing for rent and
housing situations wanted in California. Students are encouraged to
post messages about housing sublets, shared housing situations, rooms
for rent, and rentals.

for information about move-in and possible early move-in.

The International House is the primary on-campus accommodation
for Reciprocity students. Admission to I-House is competitive and primarily
based on the willingness of the applicant to be an active member of
the I-House community.
Give yourself adequate time to fill out the application
completely. It will be read and is an important part of the I-House
selection process.
Unfortunately, some qualified applicants may not be admitted due to
limited space. Students assigned to any undergraduate college may live
in the I-House, not just Eleanor Roosevelt College (ERC) students.
Read the "On-Campus
Housing Notes and Policies" before applying to the I-House.
On-Campus Housing
Undergraduate students
In case Reciprocity students are not accommodated in I-House (see
above), students are also encouraged to apply concurrently
to live in other on-campus housing by adding their name to the waitlist.
Waitlist Form The
Fall 2008 wait list opens at 8:00 a.m. on June 2, 2008.
Note that the number of spaces offered to wait list applicants is
dependant on the number of new fall students. Due to an expected high
enrollment, students are encouraged to research alternative housing
options (See Community Housing below).
Note: EAP Reciprocity students do
not need to have an UCSD Personal Identification Number (PID) to add
their names to the waitlist. If you do not yet have
a UCSD PID, enter your UC
Application ID number in the PID number box on the form.
Choose any "College of Registration." For the U.S. phone,
enter any 10 digits or 10 zeros. Include your international phone
number in the "Personal Remarks or Special Instructions"
box.
