Reports and Publications

  • Academic profiles. These provide information about the higher education system of host countries, the academic nature and courses of study at the host universities, and the configuration of academic programming for EAP participants on particular programs. The profiles also comprise an important informational document for Formal Program Review Committees evaluating the quality of EAP programs.
  • Study Abroad Helps to Build a Global Citizenry. Article written for 93106, a UCSB faculty and staff newsletter.

  • A Report to the Forum on Education Abroad on the 2003-2004 Survey of Curriculum Integration. Academic Development staff collaborated on the data analysis and write-up of the Forum’s baseline survey, in which forty-six institutions of higher education around the country provided information on how study abroad was being integrated into the home curriculum.
  • Continued Language and Area Coursework, Pilot Study examines the academic credit received for courses taken by EAP participants on non-immersion language and culture programs and documents any additional language and related area studies courses they completed after returning to UC. This information will inform the design and curriculum of EAP language programs and our academic integration efforts. [forthcoming]
